Joselyn Kishore – Principal Solicitor (Fluent in English and Hindi)
I’m the Principal Solicitor at Montgomery Legal Practice, a boutique firm serving families across Sydney’s Inner West and Liverpool. With over two decades of experience, I help clients navigate separation and family violence with clarity and care.
My journey into family law began long before formal training. Growing up in Fiji, I witnessed the impact of domestic violence and the silence that often surrounds it—especially in patriarchal communities where women’s rights were overlooked or dismissed. These early experiences sparked a deep desire to become a lawyer, to offer not just legal solutions, but safety, dignity, and a voice to those who felt unheard.
Today, my approach is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive values—designed to make legal support feel calm, respectful, and easy to understand. Whether you’re facing a complex dispute or simply need clear advice, I’m here to guide you through with honesty, patience, and practical solutions.
My goal is to provide a level of service that I would want for myself and that I can be proud of. I am passionate about my work, which is seen through my interaction with my clients, who I seek to actually connect with. I believe in an ethical approach to practising law and I strive to fully understand my client’s issues before advising them.
When I’m not working, I love exploring my local area on my bicycle. I’m a keen runner too, and you’ll find me running around with my kids. Baking is another passion of mine – I own far too many cookbooks. And I have a particular fondness for chocolate!
Mandy Zaedan – Paralegal (Fluent in English and Arabic)
I am a paralegal at Montgomery Legal Practice and currently in my final year of a Bachelor of Laws and Arts at Macquarie University. I chose to pursue a career in law because I genuinely want to help people, especially when life feels stressful, emotional, or uncertain. For me, law has always been about people first—taking the time to listen, understand what they are going through, and help them feel supported when things feel overwhelming.
Working as a paralegal alongside my studies has been incredibly eye-opening. One of the most impactful parts of my role has been attending court and seeing just how much pressure people are under. I have watched individuals arrive feeling anxious, emotional, and completely drained by the process. Some feel intimidated by the court environment, while others feel confused or unsure about what comes next. Seeing this has reinforced how important it is for people to feel supported, informed, and reassured throughout their legal journey.
At Montgomery Legal Practice, we truly care about making the process easier for our clients. We take the time to explain things in plain language, answer questions, and make sure people feel heard. We understand that legal issues do not exist in isolation, and that our clients are often dealing with a lot emotionally at the same time. Our goal is to make sure no one feels like they are facing it alone.
In my role, I help prepare documents, support solicitors, and communicate with clients at different stages of their matter. I aim to be approachable and reassuring, knowing that even small interactions can make a big difference to someone who’s already feeling stressed.
Outside of work and study, I enjoy spending time with my dog, being with my family, and keeping up with current affairs, law, and politics. I am proud to be part of a team that values empathy, approachability, and genuine care, and I am excited to continue building a career centred on helping people.
You don’t have to face this alone.
